In the course of carrying out our activities, Upplft Pty Ltd (ABN 16646 507 413) (Upplft, we, us or our), our subsidiaries and related bodies corporate, will collect, store, use and disclose personal information. We are committed to the protection of the personal information of all current or potential users of our website, online platform or other services (you or your) and to compliance with applicable privacy laws.

Personal information
Personal information and/or personal data (together personal information), is information or an opinion about, or that relates to, an identified or reasonably identifiable individual, whether or not the information or opinion is true and whether or not the information is recorded in a material form.

Information that may constitute Personal Information includes your name, address, phone number, age, employment history, location data, an online identifier or one or more factors that relate to your physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.

Types of personal information we collect and hold
We collect and hold personal information about you to allow us to provide our products and services (including our website, online platforms and other services) and for purposes connected to those products and services.

Depending on the nature of your engagement with our online platform or products and services, you may be required to provide information to us about a third party. Where this is the case it is your responsibility to ensure that the information that you provide is accurate and that there is a lawful basis for your provision of that information.

Video images and metadata – visual images, including of you (including your face) as well as other related metadata (such as time, location, and other settings) that is derived from, and/or associated with, use of, our websites, platforms and products and services;

Payment details – information associated with your payroll, payment, banking and credit or debit card details, including (if applicable) digital wallet details (payment transactions are processed by an authorised third party and are encrypted by the acquiring bank so we will not retain any payment card details);

Profile data – profile information, job position, skills and experience, information about your personality, usernames, passwords and preference data, and related information; and

Other information – text of communications gathered in the course of our interaction with you, including where you comment within our platforms and/or otherwise interact on live-chat, social media and emails, and other information from your interactions with us online, including cookie information, security tokens, IP address, URLs, search histories and other associated information.
Obtaining your consent and withdrawal of consent
By engaging with our online platform or otherwise using our products and services, you are providing your consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of certain of your personal information. If you’re a potential candidate using our online platform you will be required to actively consent to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information. You will also however, have the option to limit the extent of the disclosure of your personal information in various ways or otherwise withdraw your consent.

You may object to our collection, storage, use or disclosure of your personal information however your failure to provide certain personal information may limit our ability to provide you with the relevant products and services that we offer.

How we collect and hold personal information
We may collect personal information directly from you in the course of providing our products and services, from our website and other online platforms, and/or directly from you including when you upload personal information to our online platform to create a candidate profile or account. Personal information may also be collected about you by the use of cookies (data files placed on your device or computer), log files and security tokens.

We take all reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from loss, misuse or unauthorised alteration. Personal information is held securely, is subject to various security protections and is held only for as long as the information remains relevant to the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law. All employees of Upplft understand the importance of the protection of your personal information and will ensure that your personal information is protected and used for a proper purpose only.

Purposes for which we hold, use and disclose personal information
We will not use or disclose personal information for any secondary purpose, unless that secondary purpose is related to the primary purpose for which we have collected that information, and you would reasonably expect the disclosure in the circumstances, or unless you expressly consent to that use or disclosure.

We will not trade your personal information or provide it to any third party for any commercial benefit or reason that doesn’t fall within the scope of providing our products and services.

The purposes for which we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information (or de-identified personal information) may include:

We may also disclose personal information to third party partners (including our clients and customers) who help us fulfil and deliver our products and services to you, as well as third party technology and marketing partners, including but not limited to Amazon WebServices and Google (including Google Analytics), Oncore for the provision of payroll services, and other technology and marketing service providers.
The disclosure set out above includes disclosure of your personal information to our third party partners (including our clients and customers) when you engage with our websites and any products and services that are associated with, fulfilled by, and/or in partnership with, such partners.  These partners may contact you directly, and their use of your personal information and/or any queries you have about the personal information they hold and how they are using it, will be governed by their privacy policy. It is your sole responsibility to review such privacy policies.
Direct marketing
When we send you direct marketing based on our legitimate interests or where you have provided us with explicit and informed consent, these communications may be sent in various forms including email, SMS or social media. You have the right to opt out of direct marketing at any time and can do this by following the instructions contained in the relevant electronic message. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We will review and update this Privacy Policy from time to time as needed without notice. Therefore, you should review the terms of this policy periodically to make sure that you are aware of how we collect, hold, store and use personal information.
Access and correction
We will take all reasonable steps to ensure any personal data we collect, use, hold or disclose is up to date and accurate.  If you believe personal information that we hold about you is not up to date or accurate, you may ask us to correct it.
You may ask us to provide you with details of the personal information we hold about you, copies of that information, an explanation of the source of your personal information and an explanation of what has been done with your personal information. We will respond to your request and attempt to provide you with the data within 30 days of receipt of your request.
If we provide you with copies of the information you have requested, to the extent permitted by law, we may charge you a nominal fee to cover the administrative costs of providing you with that information.

Overseas disclosure
We will not, in the course of providing products and services, disclose your personal information overseas.
Complaints
If you consider a breach of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) has occurred, you may direct your query to our Privacy Officer using the details set out below and we will attempt to resolve your complaint.
If you do not consider our response satisfactory, you may contact the Australian Privacy Commissioner at its website www.oaic.giv.au or by telephone on 1300 363 992.
